Dear Ticket Holders

Get ready, you’re coming to Cambridge Science Centre!

A bit more information & what to expect on the day…

These strange times have gifted us the exciting opportunity to provide you with a one-of-a-kind experience.  We’ve been working around the clock to ensure our event remains of the highest standards while diligently following ALL COVID-19 regulations and guidelines.

We need EVERYONE’S help & participation to ensure not just you but your friends & family, and our wonderful, diligent staff are all kept safe over the duration of this event.

Location & Parking

44 Clifton Road

There is limited free parking at the Science Centre and on street, paid for parking too.  An NCP car park is located at the Leisure Park, 5-minute walk away.

Doors Open

All tickets are timed and pre-booked so, despite your enthusiasm PLEASE try not to turn up too early as we’re afraid you won’t be able to come in until your time is up!  We will be doing a clean-down between groups, too.

Sessions run for 1 ¾ hours and will start at your chosen time.

On arrival, please check into our venue, follow instruction from our lovely science communicators & adhere to all signage around the site. There are posters around the centre displaying a QR code that can be used to check-in to the NHS Track and Trace app.  If you do not have a smart phone, we will take your details manually.

You will be directed to your seats at a workshop table, ready for the presentation.

Food and Drink

Sorry to say that other than your own personal bottle of cold refreshment, drinks & food will not be allowed in the Science Centre on this occasion.  If the weather is fine and you fancy a picnic we can happily direct you to Coleridge Park, only a 5-minute stroll away.

Safety and PPE information

For EVERYONE’S safety…If you or anyone in your household is feeling unwell PLEASE, DO NOT COME.  You will be provided a FULL REFUND if you’re not feeling 100% well enough and can’t attend your session.

All our staff will be wearing face masks and shields for your safety and are feeling 110% tippity-top.

It is mandatory for you to wear a mask (or any face covering) when you’re inside the Science Centre.  Those with exceptions and children under 11 years are not required to wear one as per the current guidelines.

Please use the hand sanitiser provided on entry and at the provided stations.

We’re following a tight COVID safe operation of our toilets ensuring they are super clean & beautifully fresh at all times.

To ensure everyone’s safety we kindly ask that only two people leave their table at a time.

All ticket holders attending the exhibition together MUST be from the same household or social bubble.

No member of the public should attend ANY event if they are showing symptoms of COVID or if a household member is showing any symptoms of COVID. In this case you will receive a full refund on your ticket purchase.

About Us

Cambridge Science Centre is a permanent, interactive, family science centre based on Clifton Road, Cambridge.  The Centre is a venue for exhibitions, shows, workshops and talks: a place in which to discover, to create and to learn all things science.

We are a small and independent charity.   We are funded purely by donations from businesses and individuals.

Over the recent months we have been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but have been reaching children at home via our online resources and programmes, CSCOnline and Science@6, in hard-copy via our OpenUpScience magazine, and at school through our free Virtual School Trip programme.  Since March, we have engaged with over 36,000 children.

We are enormously grateful for all your support and very much looking forward to sharing this experience with you.

We can’t wait to see you!
