'STEM in the Fens' in Wisbech

It's our last day at our Wisbech PopUpScience Centre today.

We will be open from 10:30am to 2:45pm throughout half-term. Families can enjoy free entry to explore our hands-on STEM-based exhibits or have a go at one of our activities. We aim to run each activity at 11am and 1.30pm, but these times are subject to change depending on the number of visitors.

Our theme for this half-term is SPACE

Morning activity: Straw Rockets:Soyez rockets

I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll.....launch a rocket? During this activity we will learn a bit about rockets, we will be thinking about the physics of how rockets move and making our own straw-powered paper rocket.

Afternoon activity: Solar System

Our solar system is made up of 8 planets that orbit the Sun. Learn about all the planets in order. Find out facts, and useful information about each planet, and make a handy take-home reminder.

Find us at the old ARGOS shop from 10:30am - 2:45pm 

Drop in anytime and one of our Communicators will be on hand to guide you through a journey of hands on exploration. No need to book.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer at all times. Our sessions are aimed at children from 7-11 years.
