We’ve heard that recycling is important to help save our planet, but why? Using nature as a guide, join us to find out why it’s important to recycle everyday items. Learn how the Earth recycles water, its most important resource, and discover how we can learn from nature to improve our planet. Then it’s upcycling all the way as we find out about fast fashion and turn our old T-shirts into handy tote bags (bring your own T-shirt if you want!) Suitable for children aged 7-11 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Sessions must be booked BOOK YOUR SPACE

Earth seems pretty rock hard, but actually more of our planet is liquid than solid! Help our communicators dig, swim and drill their way through the Earth’s layers and delve deep into the Earth’s crust to discover the rocks beneath our feet, and how they are created. You can make your own mini wax fossil and then explore our fossil collection, captured across the history of the world, and take home some crayon rubbings of your favourite ancient creatures. Suitable for children aged 7-11 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Sessions must be booked BOOK YOUR PLACE

Take a look at the world around you and there are so many different plants and animals to be found. How are they all connected? And what would happen if one type of plant or animal disappeared? In this show we will explore the variety of different species in an environment – or the biodiversity. We will find out why it is so important to the world around us to have a wide variety of life in a habitat, and how we can change our environment to support a greater biodiversity. One simple change we can easily make is to encourage birds into our gardens and to do that we’ll make some bird feeders to take home. Supported by CEMEX Suitable for children aged 7-11 years Children must be accompanied by an adult All sessions must be be booked BOOK YOUR SPACE
