Home Education Sessions – Explore – SHINE
This series of STEM Club sessions is designed to spark curiosity and promote exploration of everyday phenomenon such as fire and light. We will investigate the scientific answers to seemingly simple questions like why do balloons pop and what makes lemonade fizz?
It’s all about light in this glittering session. Investigate light absorption, transmission, reflection and refraction. We’ll find out how light travels and how we can use reflective objects to bounce and direct light.
This session forms part of our special programme, just for home educated young learners, with weekly sessions of hands-on activities.
The sessions will last approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes and each week will be based on a different curriculum topic. We will also have some free exploration time.
The programme will consist of 6 sessions
